I read something that finally resonated with me a few weeks ago. A lady by the name of Grace Davis wrote this and spoke at the annual BlogHer conference.
She is a victim of child abuse (I have been abused psychologically and emotionally but not physically or sexually, thank goodness). And, I now believe that her message of “You don’t have to forgive your perpetrator” and, “Forgiving your abuser is not necessary to achieve healing.” should be broadcast far and wide.
Read it here.
Thank you so much, Grace.

Oh, my sister, you are very, very welcome.
Thank you for passing on the good word of self-forgiveness. As I say in my reading, it’s a radical notion and may not resonate with everyone, but for me, it saved my life.
I send blessings and wishes for your wellness and happiness,
Grace
