Where have I been? I’ve been thinking and decrapifying to some degree. That is this year’s resolution. It’s time to get order in my life ~ big time.
Some things I want to do this year are:
Make this home office work for me. That will entail going through file cabinets and getting rid of old stuff. Finding some cool shelves to put on the wall and making and USING an organizing system for important papers and stuff.
Cleaning out the sewing room. I think I’ve finally decided to get rid of the bunk beds and furniture in there. It’s good furniture, but is never used so it’s probably time.
Then, I just might sew in there. What a concept, eh?
And, then there’s the basement. Enough said about that.
Some things I want to do better this year are:
Fix up the garden/vegetable beds and plant early enough to be able to enjoy them longer. The weather will have to cooperate but I’m hoping.
I want to get a regular routine for cooking. Right now, we are hit or miss and that’s not healthy.
Make exercise much more important – take the dog for longer walks, start weight-lifting again. Get into shape – loose this weight.
Paint the bathroom, daughter’s room and finish the living room. Just get it done.
I’ve already changed some things – I’ve started reading again – finished South of Broad by Pat Conroy – I think that’s the title – I’m too lazy to get up and look. Good book, but I love Pat Conroy – didn’t know why I haven’t read all of him. The Prince of Tides was a good book as one other that I’ve read. I picked up The Lords of Discipline and am reading that now. Good read. I have several others stacked up waiting and look forward to reading them.
I lost the reading urge for several years. I always have a book to read but just read them – didn’t really get into them as I used to. That mojo is coming back.
So, I shall be busy – will blog when the urge strikes but it may not be about quilting. That’s ok – there will be quilting content here because that’s something I enjoy and plan to do.
So, that’s the latest. Until next time.

Great goals, good luck! Hope you can make it happen.
Good luck with all those goals — I have a few of the same ones but it’s hard to motivate the “other half” to go along with the ones that need his involvement…
